Die weibliche Brust, Urkraft, Sinnbild für Mutterschaft, Nahrung, Wärme, Erotik. Sie steht im Kontext mit dem Leben (nährend / nourish, feed, nurture, nurse) und in Zusammenhang mit Brustkrebs mit Angst, Krankheit und schlimmstenfalls Tod. Sie bringen Freude, Unsicherheit. Zu gross, Rückenschmerzen, zu klein Minderwertigkeitskomplexe. Je nach Jahrzehnt einem anderen Schönheitsideal entsprechend. Nach wie vor sind Brustvergrösserungen die am meisten durchgeführten Schönheitsoperationen. Dazu kommen Operationen nach Mastektomien. Technischer Fortschritt, Medizinische Durchbrüche, Menschlichkeit. Wo finden sie sich, wo verlieren sie sich?

The female breast, primal force, symbol of motherhood, nourishment, warmth, eroticism. It is connected to life (nourish, feed, nurture, nurse) and, in the case of breast cancer, with fear, illness, and, in the worst case, death. They bring joy, insecurity. Too big, back pain, too small, inferiority complexes. Depending on the decade, they correspond to a different ideal of beauty. Breast augmentation remains the most commonly performed cosmetic surgery. Added to these are operations following mastectomies. Technological progress, medical breakthroughs, humanity. Where are they found, where are they lost?
